i just wanna ask my fellow redditors how do you usually react to this type of interaction?

i’m a picky eater thus i don’t usually eat prepped foods at events especially if i find the viand not appetizing. so, even though i take my food from those events, i would give it out to the beggars i find along the highway while walking towards the terminal. yung mga nakasilong, nakaupo sa sahig, yung iba nakatayo habang namanalimos, whoever mauna kong makita. usually naman mga one or two lang nakikita ko.

and the usual response i get from them is somewhat annoyed tone “ba’t walang tubig?!” or “walang tubig?!”

and it always catches me off-guard so i would just smile and leave right away even though at the back of my mind parang naooffend ako kasi parang kulang pa ba tinulong ko? bakit parang nagalit pa sila na binigyan ko sila pagkain or dapat ba di nalang ako nagbigay ng pagkain kasi walang tubig na kasama?

and maybe i am expecting a thank you, not because that’s what i aim for, but for the sake of politeness? siguro kahit magthank you muna sila then sila maghanap ng tubig?

and so this is the reason why i don’t take home na my food, i just don’t take it nalang from the event.

am i oa for this? how do u do in this type of situation?
