Recently I parked in front of a mall where they list the plates of the cars parked and charge by the hour, they don't give tickets or collect any, they just have these staff who constantly roam around and lists the new plates parked to log what time they parked.

Anyways, as I was about to leave after parking for a good number of hours, I was ready to pay, but it seemed like there was no staff on duty that time as I couldn't find any and no one was stopping me from leaving my space, I waited for a good few minutes but since I'll be late on my exams na I just went away.

Just curious if anyone have done anything similar to this and are there any implications?
