After 10 years with safeway I walked off the job today and told my boss I was putting in my 2 weeks. Hours being cut again when we finally hired someone for the position that's been open over 6 months. I can't. I will die of a heart attack. I physically cannot give more of myself as a technician to be the absolute best I can possibly be every day (and I am loved by all pharmacists and 98% of techs I've worked with) and by all my regulars. I'm loved by district managers. I help keep our numbers in the top 5 stores (80% of the time we're top store of the entire district in every category they score us on). I can no longer work under these conditions. I apologized to my boss and told her I would stay for the crew as I have but enough is enough and she does understand. Details to come if I'll stay 2 weeks or 2 months but this chapter is done. I'm going to take everything I loved about my job and apply to a new idea and passion. Wish me luck.
