An odd thing happened when my husband filled our family’s prescrips recently. I opened the bag and an employees badge and lil register generated barcodes for a manager position were inside the badge holder. We live about 15 mins from pharmacy. My husband called and asked for the name on the badge and they stated they dont have a person w that name working there. He then went on to explain that we have their badge and it appears important but they denied it was important. My husband offered to drive the items right back to the store. The pharmacist employee told us to throw away the badge and other lil register papers.
He and I both work for highly regulated employers and wear badges that if we lost would be a concern. We would be appreciative if an honest person offered to return our badges.
Now a part of me wonders why this employee doesnt work there and why their badge was being used to ring up prescrips?
I did operations management for a large pharmacy change. This name badge does not matter. It does in the sense that employee needs it, but another one can be generated in two minutes. It will do no harm to just cut it in half & toss it out.
