Is the new game being actively worked on?

It seems to me that there are a lot of things to be desired in the new game. Specifically in the Quality of Life part of the game. Especially when I just finished playing an established game like ANNO.
I see many bugs being reported as well.
Is the game being actively developed and patched by the devs or is this as best as it gets?
