Doing a PhD by publication on some stats and algos to do with reducing restraint in hospitals. This is my final year of a one year doctorate - push some papers together and critique them. January to January. Got a rough draft out in March. Supervisors said it was a good read.
Planned to get a reasonable draft done by end of June.
Had some stuff going on - day job, bereavement, βRona, and have not yet done that June draft. Supervisors say I am doing fine. My plan was gung ho. Then had to send some proofs for one last paper today and write some pseudocode today.
But now I am knuckling down to catch up with June. Sleep, exercise, meds. House music and phoning mum. Aim: draft that I could defend with a straight face within two weeks. Mock defences of that draft through autumn then tweak it then real viva in January.
Wish me luck I am going in.
