i am genuinely curious how you guys are communicating with friends, loved ones, etc. because i feel lonely as fuck and so isolated. AHHH literally nobody gets it!!! im not rlly upset that they don’t bc it’s such a unique experience, but the people in my life don’t even really try…

my research is probably boring to anyone who isn’t doing it, my day is full of specific experiments that wouldn’t make much sense to people not in the field and people really don’t even care to hear about it. then if i get asked how im doing, of course things are stressful and overwhelming BUT LIKE NOBODY GETSSSS IT. are you actually telling them how your day goes and how you are feeling??

so many of my conversations now are just so one sided where i am just listening because anything i say is going to get glanced over or cut off. this is my life right now and its just incredibly hard to basically watch everyone else experience all these things, while im basically living in a bubble. it’s really making me not want to talk to anyone and its so incredibly frustrating feeling boring or uninteresting or even idk like im ruining the mood? i mean sometimes things are going good and ofc i can talk about other things, but it’s like im forced to hide a big part of my life or something.

how are you guys maintaining friendships and not losing your mind??? i hope this doesn’t make me sound awful and actually boring as fuck, it just gets really tiring being there for everyone else and nobody really giving a fuck about such a big part of my life right now
