Does it matter if you’re an RA or TA PhD?
Post Body

I’m a research assistant. I’m the first one to pursue a PhD in my family. There are many things that remain unknown to me about the research world. I was happy to not have to TA, but are there different pros and cons to each?

I want to be a professor in the future. One advisor said I should still TA once before graduating.
