To tenure-track or not to tenure-track?

Post Body
Iām in the last year of my PhD and considering options (post-doc, industry, etc) and one that I am considering is teaching track non-tenured faculty as I really enjoy the teaching aspects of my field (biomedical engineering) and honestly need a break before I consider a postdoc. I was wondering what all of you think of tenure-track positions? Is it actually worth it these days or more of a holdover from old-school educational practices?
