What do the eggs mean and a possible theory on why they are stored away.
The first egg is a pink and purple egg. It's not the one from Mike's Easter Egg hunt BUT these locker eggs are probably the eggs the family have been chasing and referring too in the YouTube descriptions.
This egg was created from Belle being put into the school basement machine and the Stravinsky's Septet being played. The purpose of which is to rebirth her into Tiara. However, the song was played wrong (but that's okay, which may mean that it's fixable) but Belle decided to quit the game. Two things happened; Belle's sprite, with probably a glitched appearance is moved to the quitter's room upon loading her game. I propose that with access to the back-end of the game, she drew herself a new face or was given one. The egg left behind is purple and pink and it's stored in the school locker with a note.
Paul seemingly goes back in time and visits the school where the ritual is about to take place once more. Marvin teaches Paul the Stravinsky's Septet sequence. Care B is placed in the machine and the Septet is played. The song is played wrong once more but this time the person being rebirthed is not a player but a pet so the rebirth is completed. A red and yellow egg is formed. This egg is placed in the same locker as the first.
Okay, now that's recapped, what does it all mean?
The red and yellow we have seen twice in connection with one another. The first is on the video screen outside Tool's room and the second is the Guardian's face. The former gives us our answer. When pulled out of class to meet the counsellor, we see several board games. One contains the symbol from the screen with the title "Accident" alongside it.
This is what that egg is. It's an accident. The process was completed when the Septet was accidentally played wrong with the wrong Care Pet. Fair enough but what about the purple egg? This egg was produced from an incomplete rebirthing. It is in all essence the representation of an abortion. It's left in a locker with a note but not just any note; A Life Letter. A letter to give this aborted egg a persona, a story, a life.
Red/Yellow = Accident
Pink/Purple = Abortion
Why are they stored in the locker? Ever taken a look at Amber? She's a round purple pet locked behind a cage. Her description requires her to be put in a safe place. This line is replicated in the egg's description. This tells the player what to do with the eggs but to what purpose?
Well, the pink and purple will never hatch.
However, the red and yellow may and will hatch. In fact, if the school is in the past then perhaps the egg has hatched already in the present... A chick would be birthed or... a guardian. A guardian birthed to try the ritual again, "you played it wrong but that would of been okay"... because you can always try again.
This is the loop. To finish it, to end it, to complete it; the ritual must be done correctly.
*Crazy Half-Thought-Out Additional Theory* For the colour theorists out there, a theory for you; Paul and Care are combined in the one Guardian, like Tiara and Belle. They are the one hatched from the red and yellow egg. Paul essentially births himself. The school is gone in the present so instead it's hatched on the Gift Plane at the start of the game. *Crazy Half-Thought-Out Additional Theory*
