There Are 8 "Paul"s

Post Body

Far out theory;

There are 8 "testing" rooms in the game.

Each contain a male, an AI recreation of the family member Paul Leskowitz.

They each have a bed, chair, piano and TV (with PlayStation). They have the memories and voice of Paul and the sentience of a living being. I think therefore I am.

The TV is setup to record gameplay and upload to a server.

The impulse room mechanic records audio and visual directly from the room.

Our Paul has a way to communicate with another Paul, could be "Pall", which is why he can be heard saying "Paul, are you there?" when he gets run over.

The computer in the garage acts as a real computer and has access to the internet, Window 98, probably with limited access.

Every time the game crashes, he gets run over or hits a white block then that Paul ceases to be and we assume the role of a new Paul. This is why in the bathroom, he has deja vu. He retains his memory up to a point before the reset.

It's also possible that multiple "Paul"s could be playing at the same time, such as when he enters Lina's room and another Guardian is seen leaving the room.

I believe this whole process was first done with "Belle"'s based off her genius at the game. When "fuck-fuck-fuck" happened, I'm guessing the "Belle"s became corrupted with the last being put into the quitter's room. Perhaps she escaped by pushing the bed to reveal the door, hence quitting?

A whole bunch of plot holes, I'm sure but I enjoy having a spark and running with it. (fire hazard)
