Does anyone have any suggestions for training a deaf kitten not to bite us? She loves to bite our hands, arms and during the night she bites my scalp and pulls at my hair. This is most frustrating because I can hear her snapping the hairs and she pulls so much out!
We play with her lots, she has a variety of toys. We have tried ignoring her, but thats really hard to do because the biting really hurts, especially when its your hair. We've tried picking her up and putting her down but she just runs straight back on to you and carries on. We've also tried a stern face and waving a finger but she just sees that as an invitation to bite said finger.
We also resorted to a spray bottle for the hair pulling and she literally coudln't be less bothered by it.
It's getting to a point where we can't relax properly around her because she's always lunging at us, teeth and claws out! She's not being aggresive, she's just playing rough.
