So I'm gonna be moving half way across the country soon. My cat does not travel well, at all. So to make things a little less stressful on him, I've decided to just ship him to me once I finish my drive. My sister has already agreed to get him wherever he needs to go, and he loves her, so staying with her a couple days will be fine with him.

The problem is that I don't know how to go about shipping a pet at all. I've tried googling it, but a friend of mine was telling me horror stories about shipping a pet that never arrived on the other end and then the company saying they never received the pet and now I just don't know who to trust.

This is my first pet, and I'm absolutely terrified of something bad happening to him or losing him. Do any of y'all have experience with this? Can you tell me what to expect? Are there any companies you trust to fly your pet?
