Hey everyone!
So my pet/best friend and I will be moving out of my Parents' apartment to a new place not far. My cat, when she was younger, made a few moves with me, went on planes, and was very calm overall. She lived a total of 3 different places/apartments with me, ending up here, where she has been longer than anywhere else.
She has a really nice routine here, and people around her. She gets nervous easily, and while I could get her in a carrier, recently when I put her in a carrier she shivers. I want to take my cat with me, but I want her to be OK. I've read horror stories about cats losing it, starving themselves to death, and just being broken after a move. The thing is, she'll be at home alone a bunch in my new apartment, which she isn't here. She has company 3 days of the work week. She'll obviously have my company on the weekends and when I get home from work.
I want her to be OK. I feel like she can handle the move, but what can I do to make it better? Any tips on what I should do with my cat? General advice welcome!
