So the kitten was found on the side of the road, no chip/collar and decided to take her in assuming nobody responded to posts within the 10x day limit. She has her vet appt. Tuesday morning but Iām not sure how to handle this.
She is extremely clingy to the point that I canāt do anything but give her constant attention. I pick up my phone/PS5 controller/remove she has to come run her face into my hands on the controller and just needs constant attention/pets but on the flip side constantly lunges at my hands/arms with claws out and trying to bite me.
I disengage and either get a toy or pick her up and near a toy and before too long sheās running around then back to me for pets or so it seems and then claws out trying to bite my hands. Sheās around 3 months we āthinkā and obviously sheās going to be more energetic and silly but how do I balance teaching her not to go after peopleās hands like that with her being so clingy that she always has to be near me, especially when Iām sitting or laying down. I was looking at some articles saying to play with them for 5-15 minutes in the morning and again at night but I played with here for an hour this morning and she was still going right for the hand lunging. (I have the wand toy with feathers and a mouse on a string and was throwing a ball with a bell down the hallway back and forth .)
The only time sheāll really leave me be is when Iām cleaning cause Iām moving around a bunch and I guess the cleaning spray stinks to her but Iām trying to figure this out while sheās as young as possible because itās driving me nuts.
