Has anyone been put in a situation that they know that they can’t take care of a dog but the family doesn’t do anything for their dog and just treat it like it’s a toy? My family and I are Latinos but I’m the only one who was born in the US and I share this immense passion and empathy for animals, however that’s not the case with my older siblings. My older siblings also have teens who don’t want to put a good amount of time for the dog so I feel like I’m the one who has to take charge even though the breed isn’t meant for first time owners. I blame one of my older siblings for not being considerate of the breeds needs and only got the dog “just because”. He deserves a loving family that can cater to his needs. However, I can’t even do anything like find him a new home because he isn’t mine. I’m just so upset and frustrated.
