Goodbye Saerom
Post Body

I found out yesterday that my little sister Saerom died last week. She died of a heart condition common of dogs of her size. A week before she died, she was rushed to the emergency room and the doctors told us she wouldn't live for long. We didn't know it would be so soon.

She died on Wednesday evening April 29th, 2015. She waited for my parents to come home and welcome them back home before laying down to take her final rest. My mother was able to comfort her in her final moments and told her to sleep as she won't feel any pain if she sleeps. She was 7 years old.

I am so sad I couldn't be there in her last moments. I'm a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco and my parents tried to keep her death a secret until I came home. When I went home in February, I played with her and I brought her a small doggy toy that she never would let anyone else touch.

Although she was a timid dog, I hope she happy and is making new friends across the Rainbow Bridge. I didn't know about it but when I read it, I broke down.. RIP Saerom
