I needed to get a little bit of this out really quick. I know it's impossible, but I never though she would die. She was a family member. We had a voice we used for her, and had conversations between ourselves and her (crazy, right? But so much fun.)

I'm devastated, my partner even moreso. One thing I want to remember is that Shana was able to do everything she wanted to do right up until the very, very end. I remember the other week she jumped from the ground onto this 4-foot table in the kitchen to nibble on a plant, and being blown away at how fluid she was and how high she could still jump.
