How to prepare a kid for losing a pet?
Post Body
Looking for suggestions or resources on how to prepare a 6 year old for the loss of a pet. Our son is extremely attached to our cat, he often takes kitty cuddle breaks when he's playing, she often sleeps in his bed with him, he has to say good bye to her when he leaves for school. She is getting old and we want to try and prepare him for the inevitable, and prepare ourselves with how to help him afterwards as well. Would love any and all help!
We are not religious and would prefer to keep that out of it.
