I’m 41, 5’3” and currently 159 lbs. I’ve lost approximately 90 lbs in the last 6 years. Last year I got down to a low of 152 lbs. The consensus among my friends and partners is that I look better at the higher weight of 159. My face is more full and youthful as well as my breasts aren’t as deflated.
I’m starting to contemplate making a plan to eat at a low deficit 200 calories or even at maintenance with lots of protein and focus on lifting heavy. I’m also frustrated with weight loss again and have been stuck between 157 and 162 for 6 months now. Has a plan like this worked for anyone? Did you feel healthier and look better even at the higher weight? I would love to feel like I’m making progress toward my overall wellness again instead of obsessing over the scale and frustrating everyone around me who say I look great.
