I’m 41. I hired a trainer two years ago with the goal of doing a bikini competition.

In May of this year I competed for the first time and won my pro card at that competition. It was surreal.

I went on to the international pro championships in October and placed second against all of the other pros across North America.

Next year I want to win the international championships and go on to the world championships and place in the top 5.

No, I found that because I had built enough muscle ahead time, the extra fat I had gained while bulking came off quite easily. I did a very slow and steady cut and it was very tolerable. I hardly did any cardio either.

I was 39 when I started training.

I actually have never measured my body fat percentage.

Yes except I don’t really follow her program lol. I’ve learned lots from other trainers prior to my current one, so I do a mixture of things that I’ve learned from them, my current trainer as well as my own research. She’s more of a therapist and a posing coach at this point. lol

No not at all lol. My siblings did but I was a pianist and not into sports.

Mine is quite inexpensive at $125 per month. I pay extra when I go for posing practices with her. The costs associated with the competition add up quite quickly though. I will say the trainer costs over two years and then the costs of the competitions, I spent about $12,000. I will spend even more next year.

No I haven't. Those ladies have way more muscle than I do.

For the first competition I found cutting to be very tolerable. I didn't anticipate winning and going onto the pro championships though. So it got harder towards the second competition because I had to maintain what I had achieved for several more months. I started to get a bit cranky and tired. I had the option of going to worlds, where I would be right now actually, but I opted out because I needed to get back to eating normal and building again.

I was two years younger in the before photo and had no make up on. The tan does make everyone look way different and I also had lost some weight in my face when competing.
