I’ve been a skinny kid for all my life. It never mattered to me until I got to high school and noticed how pathetically thin my arms were compared to my classmates’. Shirts don’t fit me the way they fit on pretty girls with balanced bodies. They accentuate how small and sickly my arms look.
I’ve weighed around 100 pounds since I was in fifth grade. I’m 17 and I’m a senior this year. I want it to change. I want to look healthy, not like dehydrated stick.
—— How do I safely gain weight? Should I bulk? I don’t really work out but I will if that’s what I need to do to maintain a fit body while gaining weight. The area I absolutely need to gain weight on is my arms. They’re straight up twigs. I’ll be voted Most Likely To Die A Twink. :( I’m sick of my twink era. Pls help me get some meat on my bones. ——
I’m 5’3 btw idk if that means anything
Yes work out! There are body weight exercises you can do for arms and upper body, but if you have access to dumbbells or kettlebells that’s even better! Check out the info bars on r/bodyweightfitness and r/xxfitness for beginner programs. It will definitely help to keep track of your protein (try to aim for 100g) and overall calories too. r/gainit has good tips for eating more 👍
