Upper body strength building -weight loss

Hi all so I want to lose 40lbs in the next year…obviously sooner is better but not going to set myself up for failure by setting an unrealistic timeline. I’ve already lost 124lbs but it’s getting harder to lose weight the closer I get to goal weight.

Anyways, I really want to start strength training my upper body because I have flabby arms and bat wings and in general I can’t do a push up. Lower body is great because I do Soul cycle 3x a week so it’s really the upper body and abs that I want to work on.

How should I start or is there any specific time of routine I should do?
