hi! title basically explains it all.

iā€™ve just started my weight loss journey and iā€™m about 3 weeks into it. iā€™m following these workout programs, each are about 3-4 weeks long, so iā€™m on the last week of my first block. most of it is weights and hiit and cardio about once a week. theyā€™re about 20 minutes long, but iā€™m planning on building up my endurance so i can do longer workouts in the future. i also canā€™t afford a fitness band at the moment, but trying to save up to get one so i can keep track of how many calories iā€™ve burned.

iā€™ve also been trying to eat well, and minimize any ā€œjunkā€ food that i have. iā€™m not too keen on calorie counting, just because it has led me to an unhealthy relationship with food in the past, so for now iā€™m just keeping mind of the things that iā€™ve been eating, and have been trying to be more active.

the issue is that iā€™m not losing weight. at first iā€™ve lost about 6 pounds, but ever since then iā€™ve been at a standstill. should i start counting calories again? do i need to workout more? i gained a lot of weight because i was prescribed an anti-depressant that had a major side effect of weight gain and fatigue, so i put on a lot. would that be something to consider?

i donā€™t know who to turn to for advice because no one around me is petite, and iā€™ve heard that weight loss is different for petites and ā€œaverageā€ sized people.

any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  • I wanted to note that although this post is about losing weight, I am very new to this, and I don't know a ton of information. I'm still researching about what to do. This post was meant to intend to be about me being on the right track to help with weight loss, not about me losing weight fast enough. I'm sorry if it came out that way, that was totally not what I intended it to be like lol, I definitely should have worded it better.
