Hi guys!
I'm F22, 5'3, SW: 150, CW: 131. I work out approximately 4 times a week, and I've been in a calorie deficit for a while to lose weight. I think I'm reaching the point where I want to focus on maybe building more muscle/"leaning" out, otherwise I think I'll probably lose weight on the scale, but still have high body fat.
The only thing is, I'm so used to cutting my calories that I'm not really sure where to start in terms of building more muscle? I'm aware of eating at a surplus and upping your protein intake, etc. but it feels counterintuitive in my head because I've been dieting to lose weight for so long now. Can anyone offer advice on transitioning from one goal to the other? If it's even something I should do in the first place?
Thanks!
