I’m in the midst of trying to get back to my best weight (~118-120) where I felt and looked my best. I’m currently 5’2” and about 130lbs. It’s a bit of a battle, and my activity over the last few months has been interrupted by injuries and work commitment. I’m a very avid gym goer. Traditionally, intermittent fasting works for me because it follows my natural hunger cues. The weight came on during a very stressful and depressive period when I definitely went to town on comfort food. I’m reigning it in.
This is why I’m so confused about what seems to be bloating in my lower abdomen. It’s not loose skin, because it definitely feels firm. And I don’t think it’s necessarily part of my build, because I’ve never really had that curve to my lower belly, even when I was around 140 years ago. It’s present before I even eat anything (as in, after only having water/tea/coffee) and even some mornings when I wake up. Its not MASSIVE or anything, but definitely noticeable to me. It’s affecting my comfort levels through the day and how my clothes seem to fit.
Part of me wonders if it’s due to starting Trintillex a year ago, or if it’s some kind of food sensitivity I’ve developed. (I was eating more simple carbs than I used to, but it hasn’t caused me pain or weird digestive issues that I’m aware of.) I’m aware that it very well could be from the weight gain, but I don’t traditionally gain weight there, and it’s definitely firm. I’ve never had problems with my reproductive system - it’s likely not cysts. I’m well-hydrated, and drink between 2-2.5L of water daily.
Does anyone have any experience or advice in dealing with this? Any bloating on the same medication or empty stomach? How do you know if you have a food sensitivity?
