I hope this helps someone.
Started my journey in early 2020. I went from 138 lbs to 115 lbs but then I fell off for a couple of years and got my weight up to 125 lbs. In the early 2023, i had a health scare so I changed my lifestyle.
intermittent fasting (have always done this but recently increased to 18-19 hours from 16 hours) and stop eating 4 hours prior to bedtime
less alcohol (1-2x a month reduced from almost every weekend), no more dinner cocktails at dinner dates
tracking all my food with a scale, started at 1200-1300 calories daily, now eating 1600-1900 calories since I am more active
less processed food and sugar (this made me crave it LESS), made a bunch healthy meals that I enjoyed and can stick to, more protein and vegetables, cut out the artificial sugar from my coffee, cut down on diet drinks, only drank water and black coffee
walking 15k steps daily, monthly hikes, Grow with Jo videos, at least 20 mins of walking after each meal (if i had to walk around my small living room, i did it), slowly working my way up to weight-bearing exercises (currently using 6 lb dumbbells)
weekly cheat days, and allowing myself to eat ice cream if I really wanted it, I tried to be good 80-90% of the time
progress photos
telling my friend and family that I was improving my health
What improved: - my cholesterol is now normal - my blood pressure is now normal - way more energy - mental health is much better - higher confidence
