Why do dumbbells go up in 5 lb increments?😭

I wish the dumbbell weights at my gym went up by 2.5 lbs instead of 5lbs. We have 2.5 lbs plates but not 2.5 lb dumbbells??

I feel like I mastered 15 lbs shoulder press with dumbbells and can do 10-12 reps for 3-4 sets. But I can barely do 4-5 with 20 lbs for even one set. I’ll try to do 20 and then drop set with 15. But it’s so annoying, I know I could do 17.5 lbs😭

I don’t think people understand how much of a 5 lb jump is, especially upper body and as a petite girl.

I’ve been at this weight for 2 months, it’s so frustrating 🥲 all my “push” movements are so weak I just want to make that leap finally
