I’m trying to cut right now, I have about 15-20 lbs I want to lose (but I might want to lose less depending if I achieve my aesthetic goals at a higher weight).
I started to wear my Apple Watch more consistently and noticed my TDEE on the days I lift is around 1650 cals. I live a pretty sedentary life (stay at home desk job commuter student) so I shouldn’t be that surprised. I also know Apple Watches tend to overestimate calorie expenditure too.
I’ve been eating 1500 cals a day which results in a really small deficit. I was hoping to be in a 500 cal deficit a day but eating 1100 cals is definitely not realistic as I still want to pursue weightlifting. Is my only healthy option to add more cardio? I’m horrible at cardio and usually just walk on a treadmill but it’s incredibly time consuming.
Does anyone have any advice?
