I’ve been going to the gym for 7-8 months now and I still can’t get over it. I switched to a bigger gym two months ago and my anxiousness has exacerbated. Everyone is lifting more than me and has insane physiques, even younger women who appear my age. I’m worried if someone is judging my form, the exercises I do (esp when I do modified movements), or just how I carry myself when wandering the gym to find the equipment I need/improvising when something I need is taken.
Everyone seems to be friends at my gym too, I feel like it’s high school and I’m an outcast because I don’t look like someone who works out.
Additionally, I think I go to a gym that frequents a lot of influencers so I’m so nervous to be caught in the background of a tripod set up.
I started to go earlier at the gym to try to mitigate this issue, but sometimes I’ll wake up late or have a late night due to class/homework making me want to skip working out.
Does anyone have any advice?
