I’ve been weightlifting for about 2 years now. In the past 6 months I really decided to take my bulk serious and focused on getting protein/cals in intuitively. I’ve tried to do calorie tracking in the past and it’s messed with my head unfortunately. I weight train 5-6x a week.
I used to be 120 pounds and 5’2 and it was super hard for me to gain weight until these past 6 months. I went for a physical yesterday and was told I’m now sitting at 140.
I just want to say that I actually didn’t realize I’d gone up to 140 my physique looks almost the same with more muscle in it. I just now have extra fat with the bulk as well. My lower stomach (where I typically hold the most fat) has gotten larger as well as slight growth overall.
I want to lean out now. Is there any way to do that intuitively? Do you guys think I should cut or recomp I’m not sure. I’m still not at where I want to be for my leg muscles but I’m sure that can change after a slight caloric deficit for 3? Months. I do want to implement 10k steps everyday and will be weightlifting 5-6x a week.
Appreciate any advice and help. If anyone needs pictures id be okay with dming!
