Hey everyone! 👋 Just a little background before I get into my question, I am 4'11 currently 140lbs. I honestly have never struggled with weight as much as I have this past year! Since having my 4th baby instead of losing the baby weight (besides a stubborn few lbs) I have gained 30! My thighs grew so quickly I now have stretch marks everywhere! My diet and activity level didn't change, but I did get put on an antidepressant (not taking any other medications). I am kind of curious if my medication had anything to do with the weight gain. For the past couple months I have increased my activity level from a walk or two a week to daily exercise (weight lifting, cardio, sometimes both) for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on my spare time. For the past month I have been tracking my calories and staying between 1400-1600 a day. When before I was probably eating about 2000 calories a day unknowingly, which I've learned for a small body is definitely a little too much! With that being said, I have seen no change! It has been a couple months of being more disciplined and I have seen no change on the scale and maybe a half inch lost in measurements! Another thing I should mention is that I am still breastfeeding my babe who is currently 19 months old, so I'm not sure if hormones have anything to do with it because I do have lactational amenorrhea (no period while breastfeeding), and I have heard some stories of women not being able to lose weight while breastfeeding. I'm honestly trying to wean right now to test this theory but he's a stubborn little guy! So for my question, is there anything I'm missing? Should I be doing more? Did anyone have a similar experience while breastfeeding or after having kids? So sorry for the long post, I'm at a loss here and at the end of my rope!
