Hello there, It’s my 1000 or something attempt of losing weight. 5’2” 133 lbs (160/60.5kg). 25% fat percentage (back in March, don’t want to stand on scales again lol).
So, in previous attempts I wanted just loss some weight (but it came back eventually). Now, I want to be more brave and just focus on muscle tone and fat percentage.
I went cold turkey and have already cut off all pasta, pastry (and everything with wheat flour), chocolate, chips, crisps, soda, cakes, etc. I try to eat soup at least once everyday and drink water as much as possible. Also, I am aiming to do some calisthenics twice per week and maybe hip-hop and dance just for fun.
For now I noticed some improvements, like my belly is little bit thinner, but I can’t see abs ofc.
Summing up all previous attempts I understood that I usually have struggles with:
- Overeating: when it’s weekday it’s fine, I have many things to do, I walk, but when it comes to weekends, I just lay on my bed and eat eat eat. I would say I eat sometimes because I am bored. Despite the fact that I try to eat more healthy food, after weekend I found that my stomach is bloating.
- Endurance. I feel very weak when it comes to pull-ups and push-ups. But I can do many squats and other exercises for abs.
- Motivation. When I see some improvements in a mirror I totally forget about my initial goal and start to eat again.
Intuitive eating: I have already read some books about intuitive eating and it didn’t work well for me because I just ate everything and in a lot of amount. But I try to be more “intuitive”.
Intermittent fasting: I did it in the past and I could do 16h or around 20h fasting. It worked, but I overate again. And my stomach hurts and I cant do fasting anymore.
I am open to any advices in terms of psychology, mental and physical health. Book, videos, posts, etc. But personal experience is much appreciated.
Many thanks!
