For context I’m 5’2 145lb. I work a desk job at home in my apt, so I don’t get that many steps in. I lift weights 3 to 4 times a week, and go for about three 45 minute walks. I’m currently trying to lose weight, and decide to go a calorie tracking route. Using online calculators I determined that I should be eating 1500 to cut. So for the last three months, that’s what I’ve been doing pretty religiously, with around 100g of protein. And I’ve lost maybe a pound. If that. I figured I must be getting too close to my maintenance, and the online calculators were off. So I just dropped my calories to 1300. I mentioned this in an Instagram comment, and people FREAKED out at me. They said that was way too low for somebody my size. Is that true? Should I bring my calories back up again? I feel like it must’ve been my maintenance, since I didn’t lose a pound for three months.🤷🏻♀️
