Currently down 35 lbs since last January, but still have about 20-25 lbs left for my first goal. One thing I have not been able to do is get 10,000 or more steps daily. I average between 7k-8k. My exercise of choice is weightlifting 5x per week and I end it with 15-20 min of walking on the treadmill. I work a desk job 8-5 so I'm practically sitting all day. I do get up once every hour for a brief stroll around the building in an effort to get some extra steps in. I know I could add more walking time post workout but that would mean adding an extra 20-40 minutes aka 1-2 miles more and after 45 min of lifting weights (on average) that would leave me absoultely exhausted. So my question is, am I really losing out on a significant amount of weight loss by not hitting at least 10k steps a day?
