Muscle atrophy ?

So i gained muscles in my legs because i was lifting pretty heavy and eating in a surplus for a couple of months, now i really want to get a more defined look and i really really want to lose some muscle in my glutes and quads, i have been running more and eating in a calorie deficit, i also stopped lifting, i saw that i lost a lot in my upper body but almost none in my lower body, what should i do ?
