Want to gain weight but I don’t want to rely on scales

Post Body

I am 20 yr old, was about 90 lbs few weeks ago and my mom told me that I have gotten a little leaner and so did my stepdad, also I am currently in a position where I want to add muscle mass. I like how I look but if feel like I should add around 10 lbs so that I feel physically better. I had disordered relationship with food and sometimes when my weight goes up I become very anxious. It’s as if I have programmed my mind to feel like weight gain is a terrible thing to do, but this time I want to challenge myself, I want to get stronger at gym and become physically more healthy. I need to rely on scale weight to know if I am gaining or not and would have to adjust my macros but I am very skeptical about measuring my weight, I am afraid if I start to measure myself I might relapse and go back to restricting which I absolutely do not want to. What are some ways to know if I am progressing?
