What to wear to a wedding with the dress code: "think Moonrise Kingdom"

As the title suggests, my husband and I have been invited to a wedding whose dress code is stated as "think Moonrise Kingdom." What should I wear?

Honestly, I don't particularly want to buy anything (the rest of the wedding is proving quite expensive) so it would be a major plus if it was cheap (like $30 cheap) but more expensive inspiration is appreciated as well!

UPDATE: We got an email from the groom today with links for inspiration and saying there will be a costume contest. So this is serious folks. Lol.
