Using apostrophes to make things plural

Post Body

I've just never understood this one. I will never be ashamed for caring about proper grammar and spelling, and this one really bothers me. When people type things like "he get's it" or "there are many type's," I just don't get it.

Even with acronyms, apostrophed are not needed to make them plural. So many people say "TD's" instead of "TDs" when a player has numerous touchdowns, for example. It's so strange to me.
