Cat peeing on floor

Post Body

Reddit, you're my last hope.

I have a 10 year old tabby cat (overweight, but we've got her on a weight management diet approved and followed by the vet) and I have tried EVERYTHING. This lady just categorically refuses to pee in the litter box.

I've tried different brands of cat litter, different fill levels, giving her filtered water instead of tap water, different food, had her checked for urinary or bladder issues (and there are none), and I've even deep cleaned the hallway (her preferred peeing spot) with a recommended enzymatic cleaner, and NOTHING has worked. The only time she even remotely considers peeing in the box is when I manually, physically drop her in and prevent her from leaving. And even that doesn't always work. She's even tried fake peeing to get me to walk away before.

I don't know what else to do. Please help. I'm renting this apartment and I really don't want to pay for eventual damages.

EDIT: she POOPS in the box just fine, which is why this is so baffling.

EDIT 2: she is fixed, and unfortunately declawed (we adopted her from a friend whose grandmother had passed), and the litterbox is less than a foot away from anywhere she pees when she pees on the floor.
