So I've noticed lately that my senior dog has been peeing in his bed the last 2 weeks. I've started putting pads on top of his bed so I'm not seeing it happen every night. He's about 13 years old so I figured maybe he just can't hold it in while he's asleep anymore. But I've also noticed that he's been peeing very often lately. Like once every 2 hours maybe. Sometimes he'll just get up, take a few steps and pee.
Now that I'm typing this out I don't think this is normal but I figured some advice would still help. Is this how senior dogs who are well into old age get?
Could this also be caused by stress? His eating and sleeping schedule have changed as my work hours have changed. My parents are also out of town so he's also by himself most of the day.
Any advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated!
