We got kitty out here Wednesday, she’s currently quarantined in the basement from our other pets and I have a call into the vet to get her in for an exam/shots. She’s 6 years old or thereabouts, seems healthy, but still needs at least routine medical exam and vaccines. She was an indoor/outdoor cat but we live in the city, we may consider letting her out in our secured backyard eventually but that’s not even a real consideration until we get her health and shots in order.
I’ve already given her Advantage II for cats, and will be getting her a collar and tag, but is there anything else I’m forgetting? We have another cat and dogs but I’ve never had a cat that was that age and hadn’t been to the vet yet. I’m going to ask about a microchip too, I just want to make sure I’m covering all my basis so she’s happy/healthy and I’m well prepared. Also planning on getting her tested for feline leukemia/fiv.
