I will be moving to Canada soon and with me a remote job located outside Canada. What do I need to do to bring my salary into Canada legally?

The company I work for is located outside Canada and is not Canadian. I'm currently employed by them but I reside outside Canada too.

Bringing this job with me when I move into Canada (as a permanent resident), what do I need to do to make sure I can still legally get my salary?

Who should I declare this to? And if my family were to pick up the salary, and not send it to Canada, will it still be taxed outside Canada?

I'm thinking of leaving the salary for my family and never using it in Canada. If this is illegal, please do not bombard me, as I am unaware how things work here. And I'm asking to make sure everything is declared and right with the government.
