So I purchased an Item through an American website which I was not aware of its compatibility issues with my computer. So I've already paid $26 in duty on this item. The company is shipping me a replacement item from the States. In this instance would I be able to request a refund of duty using Form B2G, CBSA Informal Adjustment Request Form
The orginal item came via Canada post and I'm assuming that the replacement item will also come via Canada post. Should I use the above mention form or is there another approach I should take ? Should I ask the company to mark the item as replacement ? Should I be speaking to Canada post as that is who I paid the original import duty to ?
