How are software salaries in Montreal compared to Toronto?

So I live in Toronto and currently evaluating an offer from MTL. I know cost of living is lower but also taxes seem higher. Want to hear from people who've lived/worked in both places or atleast MTL
Edit: Glassdoor and job banks have proven to be inaccurate in the past that's why I'm asking people here!
