I officially worked in Canada for three months and earned approximately $9,000 net. My employer paid all the required taxes during that time. I have since left Canada and no longer have access to a Canadian mailing address or phone number. I also do not have a CRA online account and have not filed a tax return, as it’s difficult to do from abroad. I’m concerned that I may owe additional taxes, and I don’t want to risk any issues with the CRA. How can I confirm my tax status and what steps should I take?
In addition, because I have a Canadian SIN, I’m worried about potential identity theft—could someone take out a loan in my name? Essentially, I want to fully disengage and ensure my personal information remains secure. What should I do in this situation?
Is there any chance you'd return to Canada? If not, I'd say let it go but as you are a concerned and conscientious person, try calling the CRA as you have a SIN they should be able to look up your ROE and or T4 slips. I doubt you'd have to pay much, 9k(gross) x.14% if we are just throwing numbers out there that's about 1200 in taxes but that's just a rough calculation which you said employer paid taxes soooo.
Call them (cra) if you plan to come back to Canada. Maybe still call them if you don't. Either way, you're OK.
If nobody knows your personal info & if you've never given your SIN to anyone or lost your ID anywhere, I think you'll be oki.

I literally said after that, that the employer paid taxes.. I didn't seem that confident in my answer either and mentioned to call CRA. which is what they should be doing regardless. Why you tryna pick fights dude.
