Hello everyone
So I was going through the thread and found that it would be the right platform to ask questions as a newcomer in Canada
Iām a 15-year-experienced male (38 years old) civil engineer with a conventional, metro, and high-speed rail background. My current scenario is as follows:
My current 1st job in Canada is as under:-
- Base : $124k
- Bonus : 25%
- RRSP & shares match 6%, CPP.
My scenario is as follows:
- Savings - $5k
- Rent - $3k
- Car lease insurance - $1.2k monthly (bought a new one as I will own that car in two years)
- Family - Wife and 4-year-old son.
How do I start investing smartly so that I own a home in 3ā4 years for around $1.5 million?
Thank you in advance and I look forward to your pieces of advice.
