This is the first year I've done my own taxes. I had a question about tuition fees.
I have a total of nearly $6,000 in unused tuition that I can transfer to a relative. My question was whether this is something that can be claimed in future years, for example when I finish my studies and have a higher income, or if I don't transfer it, it will be lost.
Of course, I would transfer them to my parents so that their taxes would be relieved in the situation where they can't be claimed in future years.
In the situation I can claim them in the future, do I need to do anything now to report them for later?
Thank you very much!
