I’m 35, just left a 95k/year job in telco to start a career as a firefighter. Year 1 will make 55k, year 4 is 110k with step level raises along the way.

My mortgage has approx 250k remaining, home is appraised at 500k. I was late to any kind of investing and have approximately 25k in an RRSP. Unknown amount in my previous employer RRSP but should have some more clarity on that soon.

I have approximately 75k in liquid assets and would like to grow this.

I’m comfortable investing 30-35k into various options but unsure how to start or where to look.
