Currently making 100k at my job, and have been here 2 years. There's a slight chance I could get a bump up to 105k in March but what is certain is I will be getting a 10k bonus for 2023 in March.
I don't really like my job and have been passively looking for something else. I have verbal confirmation from this other place which is offering 120k. The role is also a step up from my current role, though it is a smaller company.
So I guess my question is should I take it? 20k extra per year is roughly 1k per month extra after taxes but I will be foregoing the 10k bonus. Should I let this opportunity go by and start looking only after I get the bonus? I'm also wary of starting a new job in a recession, especially since it's a smaller company.
Thank you!
